Data Collected

When you enter your email address in a “Subscribe,” “Get Updates,” or similar form, we store that address so we can send newsletters, feature announcements, and other updates about the site's content.

Our systems automatically record anonymized usage data that includes your IP address, browser type, device model, the pages you view, and the time and date of each request. We rely on this information to (1) gauge how well the site performs, (2) learn which articles or tools are most helpful to readers, and (3) identify errors or potentially malicious activity. A small text file known as a cookie is placed on your device to enable these measurements; no advertising or social‑media tracking cookies are set.

We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13 years of age. If you believe a child has provided us an email address, contact hello@thenutripal.com so we can obtain verifiable parental consent or delete the data.

Sharing of Data

We don't share your personal information with third parties. Only aggregated, anonymized data is periodically transmitted to external services for the sole purpose of improving TheNutriPal site and service. We currently use (1) Mailchimp receives your email address so we can deliver updates, and (2) Google Analytics receives IP-based usage data so we can compile traffic statistics and improve the site.

Beyond these routine disclosures, we may release personal or anonymised information without further consent in four situations: (1) when you have expressly authorised the disclosure, (2) when the law requires us to do so, (3) when necessary to protect our rights, property, or safety, or (4) as part of a merger, acquisition, liquidation, dissolution, or sale of assets. If such a disclosure becomes necessary, we will attempt to notify you unless the law prohibits notice.

Your Rights

You may at any time access, correct, delete, or download the personal information we hold about you. To make a request, send an email to hello@thenutripal.com with “Privacy Request” in the subject line; we will respond within 30 days once we have verified your identity. Every marketing email includes an “unsubscribe” link that immediately removes your address from future mailings.

Location

We do not request or store precise GPS-based location information. Google Analytics may infer a general geographic area from your IP address, but we use that information only in aggregated traffic reports.

Changes to the Privacy Policy

We may amend this Privacy Policy from time to time. Use of information we collect now is subject to the Privacy Policy in effect at the time such information is used. If we make major changes in the way we collect or use information, we will notify you by posting an announcement on the website or sending you an email. A user is bound by any changes to the Privacy Policy when he or she uses the services after such changes have been first posted.
